Khairy Shows True Colours Again

For a moment, I thought there was a slight possibility that of all the insular, extremist UMNO leaders, there was one person who learnt his lesson well from the last general elections, that is the favourite public whipping boy, and now UMNO Youth Chief, Khairy Jamaluddin.

Check out his interviews with Malaysiakini post-March elections. Did you attend his Asia21 Forum where he said "I'm sad for BN, but I'm happy for democracy and for Malaysians", almost inspiring? What about the oft used phrase by BN leaders "We must change, or be changed!", that appears absolutely down the drain now too.

Read Utusan Malaysia. Hear what our Deputy Prime Minister is talking about. It's all still race, race, race. (Oh, and it's not about taking part in a "competitive race")

And now back to Khairy. After a brush with projecting a "reformed" image, it's now back to being a race and religious bigot. This piece of Bernama news is just shocking, when Khairy accused "the DAP, which was becoming more bold in insulting Islam lately."
"Umno Youth will organise a 'ceramah perdana' in Shah Alam, Selangor next Friday to counter the (DAP) insults against Islam... on this issue (religion), the Muslims are offended at their (DAP leaders') attitude and this needs a joint effort," he said.
DAP despite not having issued anything statement at all that is anti-Islam, despite having just been upholding justice and the law, we are defamed as "insulting Islam". Of course, by their definition, any such racist and religious bigot attacks on DAP is not sedition.

Suddenly Khairy is now a religious hero who is anti-alcohol. What hypocrisy, a perfect example of "meludah ke langit".

perhaps it is time to get 7 parties and form a 'real' coalition, list down the do and don't.

one party from sabah, one from sarawak. help form one for the natives if they don't have an opposition party.

Truth be told Tony, I think DAP must try harder to recruit Malays into DAP and turn it into a true multi-racial party. Right now with DAP being painted as a Chinese party, DAP does stand the chance of being irrelevant in what alot of us hope to be a new multi-racial malaysia.

As a political organization, one of my biggest gripes with DAP is that it is Chinese party (reinforced in some prior comments by yourself about Penang being a Chinese government. I could be mistaken, the internet is fairly unreliable). The other being perceived 'dynasty building' father-son stigma.

MB Guan Eng does seem like a good MB and has done much to move out from the shadow of his father but perhaps a more open method of party dynamics can be introduced.

close down all karaoke and places selling beer and liquor immediately.

top chinese executives from all companies under the pretext of entertaining customer after work
are wasting their time and increasing the companys expenses.

on top of this nonsense hanky panky
are aplenty.

the govt should ban all this nonsense immediately and urged all
executives and above to go back to their respective families after work.

i am chinese and i support PAS 100%
on banning of alcohol.

alcohol is nothing but trouble.

marriages are crumbling becoz of this nonsense

i am very sure all the chinese housewives and whatever will
support 100% PAS good intention.

DAP/PKR please think out of the box.

remember we voted for changes.

Drinking and gambling are not part of chinese culture.

I don't mean to pour cold water on your party's righteous ideals, but ideology alone will not win you an election.

A while ago, people were calling the PKR the weak link among the PR. Yet now it appears more to be their partners. Exactly because of both stick to their ideals with immovable zeal.

The PKR having a blank slate in that regard allows them more freedom to adapt to the changing social conditions as they come.

If the DAP wishes to remain as morally infallible as you allege and take the high ground every time, without actually showing any real tangible efforts to do address the issue, which is the basic issue of interracial communication within our society...

Well, good luck then. You're gonna need it.

That's UMNO for you.

First they throw something at you. Then with the help of the three running dogs (you know who), they try to make it stick.

Tony, I suspect that's part of their KPI.

The more you talk about PERJUANGAN BUMIPUTERA, JANGAN CABAR KEDUDUKAN ORANG MELAYU, you get to rise up to a higher post. It shows you are doing something. Look at Tun Mahathir.

I watched your NTV7 interview, inside there are few guys still feeling NEP is necessary and got to be maintained.

As long as there's market need for NEP, then Barisan is still relevant.

Alas! Lately he seems to have lost his sharpness becoming more incoherent in ideas and vision.
And with his influence and stature failing he will descent to being a racial demagouge to prop himself!

Disappointed

Our PR leader should learn how to handle this game, you all don't know how to handle all this buy using sun tzu. See the weak point in PR is UMNO easy to counter attack by using Islam & PAS, So PR should now when you want to comment on Islam issue, try do roundtable. No Need to be hero.

I think you all miss the point.Have empathy with KJ.If he cannot remain as the most racist umno leader like as usual all previous umno youth leaders, his position is at stake. So he MUST maintain his perverted image no matter how much it embarrasses his wife's other races friends, his own circle of friends too because after Krismudin,he can be the next PM.Career come first,$$$ come 2nd,nation come last.So pls have pity on him

Jeff, pls tell your bosses Dap is too chinesed so much so that umno is using this perception as a bogeyman to gain mileage. Pls allow your non-chinese colleagues to be spokesmen next time or better still merge into PKR to sanitise the image...if you all are serious about changing the nation for good.Otherwise, we feel it's more for own self interest (ie our perception soorry)

Why don't he said the existance of Magnum, Sports Toto, 1+3D are also an insult to his religion?
Ask his Umno Youth to organise a 'ceramah perdana' to counter these (Magnum, Sports Toto, 1+3D) insults against his religion la!
Will he dare to?
This type of human is misused the religion for political milage!
May Allah punish him!

Didn’t KJ go to Oxford University to study philosophy, politics and economics? And then to UCL for more education on legal and political theory?

I believe Aung San Suu Kyi took the same subjects at Oxford too, and M K Gandhi himself read Law at University College London.

So if he is also stated to be a journalist by profession, what then, allegedly, went wrong with KJ’s integrity and intellect after all that (supposedly professional?) journalistic experience and top-notch expensive education (funded by the Malaysian taxpayer was it?) at those two great non-racist and certinly not fascist/spremacist in any way, British educational churches of good reason and free liberal-thought?

Or is it merely a case of that age-old adage proving itself true again? The one that says that you can take a man out of the bog (from even deep Rembau) but not the bog out of the man.

Malaysians should beware that they elect all such allegedly smooth-talking "educated" politickers at their, their loved ones’ and their nation’s greatest of perils.

The only thing remarkable left about KJ is that he is not already schizophrenic or bipolar.. Its must be mentally unhealthy to keep saying one thing and then say another the next moment.. It would just confuse and tear me up..

What is a waste is someone who obviously is not dump and have all the advantage in the world, don't see the obvious that what he does is NOT worth it. He is simply wasting his time and resources and wasting other people's time and resources battling him. He stands for nothing, fight for nothing. Its all so 80s yuppie self-centredness that loses the big picture...

Zaid Ibrahim beat him in Al-Jazeera interview WITHOUT even trying. Not to mention the newscaster too. It should be telling to him, he is just on the wrong side.. He does not get it, he simply don't.

I have to agree with Terence. DAP needs to recruit more Malays to it's cause to remain relevant in an ideal mlti-racial society.

That said, I think KJ was most likely referring to Jeff Ooi's comments about JIM, which even DAP's Sec-Gen admitted was wrong too say

we all know what the main media is saying are all lies and fake stories ... even all the readers know it by now ...

All DAP has to do is update your blogs, release statements and all is fine ... just like what you and jeff ooi are doing.

you guys are young and smart fellows ...

we all know the longer they play with fire it will burn them back ... (thanks to the Internet)

Most of the readers now just buy newspaper for sport's result and good wrapping paper for nasi lemak

to me main media are a total waste of space and time ...

listening to them is like living next to a rubbish site ... every moment there more rubbish coming out ...

Dear YB Tony

Perhaps we can learn a lot from Nelson Mandela's struggles against apartheid and racism in South Africa.

South Africa was much more racially polarised (compared to Malaysia today) but the ANC managed to pull of a true rainbow coalition and come to power in
1994.

To counter fascistic messages of hate and exclusion, the antidote is messages of brotherhood/sisterhood and inclusion.
